I put 15g weights in my 35 in. Scotty's GoLo 6. It has helped me with tempo and head stabilization. My normal course has fast greens. But since on slow greens a lighter putter help, I'm considering buying the same putter because I love it and have one with 10g, and one with 15g. (rather than change them back and forth if I play on slow greens somewhere) Anyone else ever do this?

  2. Kind of, i have 2 putters with 350 gram heads, one is 34 inches tall and the other is 35, i go back and forth with what’s working.
  3. Yes, I sometimes move around between my gamers different weights...most of my putters are similar or same in length. It really depends on the weight of the grip I am using on each one as to what amount of weight to put in the sole....great that we have that flexibility with SC putters!

That seems like a good idea but might get cumbersome carrying 2 putters to see how the greens are. I would stick with the putter that fits the greens you play more often than not IMHO. Just my 2 cents.

Don't carry 2, just my usual, until I travel for a league I'm in.
  6. Where can you purchase these weights to be able to address your Scotty Cameron putter?

Lots of places on Amazon and eBay, (don't know about the quality) but I chose a place where I've bought before 19th Hole Custom Shop www.19thholecustomshop.com/.../weights-scotty-cameron

Just get the cheap ones on amazon. No need to spend 6x as much for Scotty Cameron weights. They are identical and just as accurately weighted as OEM.

To ensure that you get a correct fit for your SC putter, you can purchase them on his site below. They come in pairs and run $60. Go to his online shop under accessories. Recommend purchasing the real deal, a fake with come loose because of a poor seal. I carry 10, 15, 30, 40 in my bag at all times. I have two, a Newport 2 and a Squareback 2.

  10. I have bought several weights on eBay and checked their weight with no problems and use them on my 35" GoLo 5. Once they have their rubber ring that came with them none have ever fallen out. I have used 15g weights for a number of years and recently changed the weights to 10g (as suggested by Scotty for 35" putter) with some success and better distance control (winter conditions)... it could have just been the change of feel!!... I will keep that setup into the next season and see how that setup works. It is very easy to change the weights with the proper tool that can be ordered with weights so there is no need to have different putters unless you want that. Some players have one setup they use for summer conditions and another for winter conditions while others prefer to use a lighter putter on slow greens and a heavier one on fast greens. I would experiment with different weights.
