    Hi TT,

Like many of you, I'm still stuck in the polar vortex.  Do you have any recommendations for indoor putting mats?

    Hey Josh,

I have the Big Moss original (3' x 9') and have no complaints. Great value for a single cup indoor green.

    Cheers,

    Mike

I'm looking at the Birdie Ball mat for my basement.  For the cost, it seems to be the best bang for your buck.  And if you're willing and able to build a platform for it, you can have regulation depth cups.

I've heard good things about Birdie Ball.  Looks like there's a ton of options too.

    Hi Josh-

I was lucky enough to get a Birdieball 4' X 13 1/2' indoor green for Christmas.  I picked the slower stimp of 8 in one direction and 9 in the other.  I always feel that the indoor greens run way too fast to work on my stroke.  I have been very pleaed with the speeds of the green I have.  It feels very similar to our local country clubs greens in the 9 stimp direction and the 8 stimp feels similar to our local public courses.  Right know I just have the green on the floor with 2 standard cups and 1 high back cup.  The high back is very good for practicing the 2 to 4 footers that you have some pace on.  I do plan to build an elevated area for the green so that I can have deeper holes for practicing.   Overall for the price and performance I am very satisfied with it.  Also their customer service was awesome to deal with for questions.

Just my 2 cents!  Hoping it pays off on the course this year from 10' and in!!  If all this snow ever melts!!!

    Josh,

Try synlawn! They have cheaper thin greens and more expensive multi sized platform builds for indoor and outdoor.

Wow those look awesome, but 1.5k is a little outside my budget.  I think I'm gonna pick up a Birdie Ball.  They look like a quality green and their made in my home state of CO!

  8. Josh,

Right Answer!  Thanks for asking the question and thanks for selecting the BirdieBall Putting Green.  Use discount code "joshg" and get a 25$ discount on your selection on our website.  We are the world leader in cost effective indoor putting....period!  Pick your stimp, size and configuration, 10,000 combinations or tell us how you want it in the notes section.  Each green is custom made for each customer!  Again, excellent choice.  Let us now take care of you.

    Sincerely,

    John

  9. Actually 25% not $25.  That should be a better program depending on the size.  By the way, discount code "joshg" will give 25% off to anyone for the next 48 hrs!  The JoshG promotion.   So through Tuesday, March 18th 5:33pm MTN time.

Great topic and thanks for the additional 25% off.  I just placed my order for the 9' x 4' model for my son's birthday gift.

    Hi John,

Thanks for offering this up to myself and everyone on TT.  I have to say this is the first promotion I've ever had named after me.  Unfortunately I won't be able to take advantage of it because I ordered my mat and received it already (you guys ship fast).  It's a really cool product and made in the USA.  The dual direction stimp is great, and I really like that the green is able to receive short chips and pitches.  The ball actually checks up a bit.  I dig the bumper design as well.

My only issue is if I stand in one spot for awhile, working 5 footers on that small cup for example, I feel my feet sinking in.  The footprints go away after a moment, but perhaps offering a little mat you can put off to the side for standing would be a good idea.  Either way, I like this green, and I would encourage anyone looking for an indoor green to take advantage of the generous and well named birdie ball promo.  Keep on doing what you guys do John!

  12. I will hook you up with a 2 x 8 stance mat for you to put next to your green to make entire mat accessible with your feet at the same height.  I found your address in the system, so be looking for it in the next week or so.  -John

Looks good Josh!  I see the leftover from the hole cutout, did you cut them yourself?

    John you are the man!

Tim, the holes come pre cut but they include the cutout. That way you can fill a hole if you're chipping or wanna stand on one.

  15. Josh,

This is John from BirdieBall.  Congratulations on making the right decision!  You will be able to choose, speed, size and configuration.  Plus I am giving you an additional 25% off our current promotion which is a Free upgrade to the next size up.  just use discount code "joshg" when checking out.

Thank you for your confidence and your astute decision making!

    Sincerely,

    John

I agree.  Might be some other mats out there with better options to make them look prettier, but you can't get a better bang for your buck than the birdie ball.  And with the 25% off, it's almost too good to pass up.  I wish I had my basement ready for my putting green, but I have some more renovation work before I should pull the trigger.

I have the Birdie Ball putting mat and it is awesome. I never considered raising it a bit to have regulation cups but sounds like a great idea. Either way for the price it's a great buy.

I have had a Big Moss Agusta for just over a year and could not be happier with the product.   I use it year round, I can get some practice in regardless of the time of day or the weather.
