At what temperature do you change from shorts to pants? As the mornings are getting colder here in the Northeast, I put away the shorts and wear pants when the temperature starts out at 45 in the morning. It still is getting warmer as the day goes on so I wear a very thin pair.

I tend to judge the need to change by what the temp will be when I'm 3 or 4 holes in. If it's going to be reasonable (mid - hi 50s), then I'll wear shorts and put my lightweight rain pants on until I warm up a bit. If the high for the day is only going to be hi 40s/low 50s, then it's long pants for me.

I wore pants today for the first time because of weather (I wear them a few times per year to go to a friend's club because he's pretty formal and always in pants). Temperature was 46 as I headed to the course.

If I'm walking, below 50 or riding, below 55 I switch to pants.

I am waiting as long as I can.. Not a huge fan of wearing pants... I don't mind wearing shorts if it's 40+ outside and will just layer up my upper body.. I like to walk so that warms me up a little...

But I always have a pair in the car just in case....

I'm praying our golf season is similar to last season where we played right into January..

If the weather stays below 50 then I wear pants otherwise I'll wear shorts. In Northern California the weather is still nice as I played on Saturday and it was in the low 90's.

45 degree in the AM sounds about right. I sometimes wear a rain pants over shorts then take them off after a few holes.
  9. I wear pants almost all the time living in Virginia. Unless it's above 95 I'll wear pants but in the mornings I'll add a light jacket because it's about 55 here

I live in SC, so we're still in comfortable shorts heather, but I'm about the same. If the temperature gets into the upper 50's, I'll be in shorts with a thin wind shirt or vest. The only exception is if the wind is blowing

40 degree for the high. If during the round it gets up to 50 or higher I'll start with shorts. I will have on a shirt with a long sleeve wind jacket on though. My upper stays warm my lower body stays warm. Upper body gets cold I'm cold all day.

At 75* and below the shorts are gone and the pants go on.

Depends on the time of year. Coming from summer into fall, where we're acclimated to heat and humidity in MD, I'll put on pants when it turns 60. Now, if we were coming from winter into spring, I'd do it at 45 degree weather because that would feel like summer!

Probably in the mid 50s to low 60s along the east Atlantic coast. Can always wear shorts and put on wind pants in the am and take off as you make the turn.

45o-50o.....depending on the time of day and the wind. Here in the Piedmont Triad area of North Carolina we can have 'shorts' weather throughout the year.

I like wearing golf pants on cool or windy days. I think they are comfortable and enjoy dressing for the game.

on hot days, shorts it is.
