    Hi Kris,

Check out www.mytpi.com. They have a complete library of golf specific exercises and sample workout programs along with a lot of other great content on nutrition and the golf swing.   You'll be able to find a lot of great tips and to get you going in the right direction. Good luck.

What a great website!  Next they should do how to improve your swing through shoveling.  I'm getting plenty of practice doing that.

I just started seeing a local TPI trainer and I can say its the best move I have ever made.  Its amazing and well worth the money.

Golf magazine feb. 2011 issue page 99 has information relative to exercise for the golf swing.  It compares 5 different routines, from just hitting balls to strength training.  Strength training  and abdomen/core training proved the most beneficial.  The article has web site references  for additional specific instruction.  Refer to golf.com for additional info.

Ben Crane has an awesome workout video too.  It's got some really unorthodox stuff that you can do from home.  Check out his website or search Ben Crane workout video on Youtube

I'm a TPI Certified Golf Pro and I like to tell our new players that there are zero "Golf specific" exercises.  There are only "you specific" exercises.  Getting TPI screened to find out your strengths and weaknesses is a must before you begin any exercise program.
