  1. When I'm not around my computer, at a tournament, etc., I'll flip on the T.V. to get my golf information. Mainly during the morning hours of the show. Now, it's the GOLF Channel and when they're talking golf, in my opinion, they do an excellent job. However...it's turning in to another "sports network". Not JUST golf. Don't get me wrong, I don't mind tennis, football, etc., BUT, when I'm watching the GOLF Channel, I'm concerned about GOLF, nothing else.

    What's everyones opinion(s) about this?

David, I agree but I only watch the golf channel when I have a little extra time or when I DVR tournaments. They probably don't want the people who watch a lot of it during the day to get bored of it because they keep repeating themselves. When I turn on the golf channel I also want it to be just about golf though. I can watch ESPN if I want to catch up on the other sports. I only watch about 30-60 minutes of TV each day though. I'm glad I have DVR though. It's great to be able to watch the tournaments when I get home from work and fast forward through the commercials.

I agree 100% with you guys. I, also, watch the Golf Channel in the morning before work to find out something new about the golf world. However, I think they are trying to take some of the viewers from ESPN. Especially now that they're part of NBC. Just my opinion. I kind-of like the business segment and a little bit of talk about other sports. It just reminds me how golf remains the most honest sport in the world.

I agree guys, It's called the Golf Channel which should mean  GOLF 24/7. Maybe they need to change the name to the Sports channel if they want to be an ESPN clone. I only watched the Morning drive twice & found it to be boring & not all about golf.

  6. I totally agree...also don't understand why you televise a radio show...it's not Stern or Rush!! Very boring when it's not about golf

  7. I'm not big on other sports either. I absolutely LOVE my Buckeye's and will watch anything to do with them, but...I mean, if they throw in something like "The Packer's won the Super Bowl" and talked about a touchdown, then that's it...that wouldn't be too bad. Golf is my only sport. I don't "dislike" other sports, but, they belong on their respective channels..

I love other sports, but I watch Golf Channel to check up on Golf.  I watch CNN, Fox, or MSNBC for news.  Sprots Center for Sports, and NHL for Hockey.  Morning Drive is like going to your favorite BBQ Pit for some Chicken Marsala.  It's just silly.
