    Hey, Team Titleist!

At Titleist, we look at golf ball performance in terms of Flight, Spin and Feel. By designing golf ball models that deliver significant differences in Flight, Spin and Feel, you can find just the right golf ball to optimize performance for your individual game. Check out the video above, where we took a closer look at the second of these  critical performance characteristics - Spin.

In the short game, spin is the key to control. On chips and pitches I’ll take as much spin as I can get. But as I get farther away from the green - distance wedges and short iron shots - I have a hard time controlling a higher spinning golf ball. It’s difficult for me to keep the flight down and predict the spin once the ball hits the green. This is where Pro V1 has been a great choice for me. I can transition easily from finesse wedges to iron shots and I know just how the ball will fly and react upon landing on the green (provided I do my part and execute properly). And in the wind, knowing how my ball will spin becomes even more important.

What about you? How important a consideration is spin when it comes to your game and your golf ball model?

HI Rick, I'm in agreement with you other than that the spin rate I need is a bit higher for all shots. As such, I like the Pro V1x for the additional trajectory provided by higher launch and higher spin. I'd really like to try some more of the Pro V1* ball, though!
  3. Massive fan of spin now ive got my handicap down!
As a high handicapper a couple of years ago i always used harder/longer balls because I just wasnt good enough and couldnt take advantage of a softer/spinning ball.

As i got better (definitely with my short game), i started using a ProV1 and the difference to my spin control was crazy, especially greenside. Being able to manipulate the ball taking spin off or adding spin with a bit of check was a massive game changer for me.
