I am going to regrip my clubs and was going to ask TT to give me some feedback on their favorite grips. I play in hot humid conditions just so you know. Any advice is appreciated.

    Thanks in advance.

Here is my take .... Living in the Washington DC area we get the hot and humid weather conditions as well. I recently just went with the Gold Pride VDR grips throughout my entire bag, (excluding my putter) and have no complaints… again just one player’s opinion
  3. Just replaced my New Decade with Golf Pride VDR grips on all irons. Only 3 rounds, but so far so good in hot, humid weather. VDR grips are softer than New Decade (to me). I found the New Decade had a tendancy to chew up my non-gloved fingers after a few consecutive rounds in humid weather. Hope this assists.

GP VDR is the way to go.  Excellent grips in all conditions.

FOR BEST LONG LASTING FEEL THE NEW DECADE IS BEST. THEY CLEAN UP LIKE NEW WITH WARM WATER AND SOFT SOAP. GOLF PRIDES NEW TACKING WRAP THATS LOOK LIKE SHINNY LEATHER IS GREAT IF YOU PLAY IN WARM WEATHER AND IF YOUR HANDS SWEAT ALOT. YOU JUST WIPE THEM WITH A DAMP TOWEL AND THEY DRY FAST. WINN GRIPS FEEL NICE BUT YOU CAN'T BUILD THEM UP TO A LARGER SIZE AND THEY DON'T LAST LON ENOUGH FOR THE PRICE YOU PAY FOR THEM INSTALLED BY A SHOP. THE DECADE FOR ITS PRICE AND PERFORMENCE AND ITS ALMOST 2 YEARS OF PLAYABILITY CAN'T BE BEAT.

I use to play Winn grips, but when I got fitted for my AP2s and had to cut shafts down 1/2", my PGA instructor had me try the Black Widow grips. I love them! They wear well and provide a lot of "grabbing" or "friction" with the golf glove. I am able to maintain a looser grip on the club without fear of "loosing" my hold on the club. A looser grip helps me get rid of the muscle tension in my hands & arms, which results in faster swing speeds and longer ball flight! Black Widow grips for me.

It gets pretty hot and humid in Memphis, TN.  The Golf Price New Decade grips work great for me.

Since I use a midsize grip my choices ara limited. I played the New decade till last year great grip but a little hard on the hands. I switched to the tour velvet last summer but they get real slick if you don't clean them after each round. I put on a set of the VDR midsize about a month and a half ago so far so good. Great grip and great feel. I played a couple of weeks ago in OR. in drizzle and didn't lose any grip. Now if golf pride would give us some more color options besides black...

This is my opinion. I have New Decade Mulit-compound on almost all my clubs and i have very sweaty hands. They perform great with sweat and hot, humid weather, but are also good in chilly weather. But then when they start to get less tacky, wipe them down with some hot water and soap and they are like brand new again. For me that is the best part!

ive heard that the golf prider milticoumpounds are good but ive also heard about the iomic grips  try those!

  14. I prefer the GP Tour Velvet BCT (black) grips. I HAVE to have a corded grip. Everybody has their own likes and dislikes. The best thing to do would be to go to your local golf shop and check the grips out. If you're unable to make it to a shop, check out the different grip companies websites and read up on them to find one that best suits YOU and YOUR game. Let us know what you decide to go with. Good luck.

Iomic sticky are my choice. The only bad part is that they can get dirty if you don't take care of them

Even with my Dew Decades, cleaning frequently is something I do, so I would suggest that you do that every 3 rounds. It will make quite a difference.

For a hot, humid conditoin I would go with the Lamkin Crosslin ($5) or Golf PRide MUlticompund because the humididty doesn't affect cord as much as tour velevet. However, I live in Cleveland and play Tour Velvet and VDR and  they are great. Good Luck in aaaalllllll of your future gripping endeavors.

Just changed my set over to Golf Pride New Decade Multi-Compound, yellow like my boy Rory, and they are great here in the cooler yet wet weather of Washington state..Love them!!! Only clubs I didn't change over was my driver, that was a gift while waiting to get a new Titleist driver, since it is only a month old and my putter that I had only had for a few months. I personally love these grips. You might also try the Golf Pride website and go thru their grip selector, this helped me choose the grips that fit the weather I was playing in, feel and response I was looking for, etc. Hope this helps.

I had the Black Widow and changed to the New Decade multi-compound grips. Much prefer them for durability and when they get dirty, a cleaning with mild detergent and water and they are like new.

Golf Pride New Decade are the best hands down.  I walked 18 holes in 107 heat index with 100% humidity.  They worked perfectly.  I have one club gripped with one of the new Winn hero lite grips.  I had to dry my hand off a lot to be able to use that club.  I have tried many other grips but none compare to the New Decades.  Look at the pros, you will see most with those as well.

Lamkin Crossline. They have been around forever and still perform and look the best. I have midsize on my AP2's. Trust me, I tweak my equipment a lot. Winn's have a ridge in the back I don't like and golf pride's don't seem to stay as tacky as long down here in Mississippi. They aren't as supple as they new technology, but traction is key for me. Plus they are classic looking and most people tell me they still look better than anything on the market . . . though my VDR's did look sweet. Bottom line, half the price . . . twice the traction.

I'm a Cord kind of guy. For me i never have to worrie about is it to hot or cold or wet. Its a little ruffer on the hands but you really never have to worrie about club slip and If you practice the relaxed grip that most PGA pros teach it will help give you confidence that the club wont slip out of your hands. I also like the new decade multi compound. Just my thoughts Cheers

Golf Pride New Decade Multi-Compound in all conditions.

Believe me, I live in Melbourne, Australia and we can get all seasons in the one day here.

Better yet, they will last for ages.

Want new grip feel, just give them a quick wipe down with warm water mixed with dishwashing liquid and towel them off.

    Works a treat!
