Has anyone used Ship Sticks? I have a trip to South Carolina and I was thinking of using them.

They would not stay in business very long if no one used them. :) I never have but Abdon and others here have had good experiences with them. I would be more reluctant if we were still under the COVID restrictions as ShipSticks uses 2nd party couriers (like UPS and FedEx) to deliver the clubs. Those companies were overwhelmed during COVID and rarely delivered on time. If I did use them I think I would add a couple of days to the front end of the shipment just to make sure any delays still allowed the clubs to get there before my golf days.

Sure. They've been around for well over a decade. If you don't feel like lugging your clubs around, it's worth it.

If you pack your equipment in the shipping box with care, at least you'll know that things will still be in the same place when you open the box. The same can't be said for air carriers once TSA does an inspection. I feel like this group does as much damage as the airlines' staff.

I'm sure there are horror stories about ShipSticks, but then airlines have their stories as well. Sure does beat lugging stuff through airports, though.
  5. USed them for a trip to Palm Springs in February from Denver. Shipped a week before using slowest method, and clubs where there a couple of days early. Same was true on the way back. Far easier than dealing with the clubs on a plane, just allow time, and you can follow the shipment on Fedex site.

No names mentioned here, but a few carriers have pulled my head covers off and put a few dings/scratches on them, including my last new 3-wood. Proceed with caution whoever you choose.

I have used ShipSticks multiple times without any issues. If you get on their email list, they will send you alerts about any discounts that are available. The good thing is if you know the itinerary of your trip in advance, you can make arrangements to use their service when the discounts are available even though the trip is months out.
  8. While I prefer taking mine on the plane...I have heard good comments about the service from others.

Good to see that someone is thinking the same thing. I've been toying with shipping to NC this summer. I'm thinking its the way to go after seeing those viral videos about Delta and the way the clubs were handled.

All methods of transport are going to be bumped, dropped and manhandled. It's up to the packer to do a good job. I ship things for a living, and i pack everything expecting them to be dropped from 10 feet.

I've used Ship Sticks many times without any issues. With the rising costs of checked baggage, their fees are pretty close to the airlines. and not having to deal with clubs at the airport is priceless!!!!

They have also been running 20% discount offers.
