I speed a few month of the year in the outer banks and have been playing more golf while I'm there. They have some great courses that I've played

Kilmarlic Golf Club: Just played here, and wow—what an experience. It is on the main and but not far over the bridge. The course was in perfect condition, and the layout was challenging yet rewarding. The natural beauty of the surrounding wetlands really adds to the experience. Definitely a must-play for anyone visiting the OBX

The Currituck Club: Another gem. I've play here a few times it can be a little more price in the summer season Around $200 a round off season you can find some fair prices to play more. The views here are stunning, especially on the back nine where you can see the Currituck Sound. The course itself is a fun challenge and definitely worth checking out.

I've also played Seascape. Any other course in the area anyone would recommend checking out?

  2. Just chiming in to second the Kilmarlic recommendation. Wonderful layout and much more intimate than I was expecting.

Played Nags Head on my trip a couple of years ago as well and did not like that course very much at all. Short, target golf with a lot of forced layups and gimmicky holes. Staff was also not very helpful and felt like I was putting them out by stopping by.

Just got back from Nags Head. Nags Head is pricey - I play at the Carolina Club in Grandy about 1/2 hr drive out of OBX. Cost was 120.00 in end of August.

Played the following and ranked (IMHO) in order of like:
    Duck Woods
    Kilmarlic
    Nags Head GL
    Currituck
    Carolina Club
    Sea Scapes
    The Pointe
