  1. I am looking to purchase a set of t200 irons I just wanted to know how long on forged irons does the chrome last before peeling off and can this be replaced Also would the t200 iron be suitable for a 9 handicap player ?

T200 and T350 have forged faces but the body of those irons are cast. Chrome scratches and over time, expect the sweet spot and sole chrome to wear through but that takes quite a few swings. I never have worn the face chrome down as I seem to spread out my contact way too far from the center. :) As for handicap, I never consider it when determining what iron to play. Too many factors contribute to a handicap that really are not related to your irons. Hit what you like and what works for you.

I've got 2023 T200 irons in my bag the now and played the previous gen T200 irons for a couple of years before and i never had any problems with chrome peeling off any of them.
Regards to T200 irons being suitable to your game, who knows.
I'd strongly recommend for you to go get fitted at a Titleist fitting centre!
That way you'll get a properly fitted set of irons to your swing and you'll be able to try the whole range to see what irons are best works / suits you.
Every single persons golf swing, speed, launch, attack angle, loft, lie, grip thickness, longer / shorter shafts, etc is different.
  4. I've got the T200's with graphite shafts as they give me the higher window and steeper descent I was looking for.

There is no correlation between your handicap and the model you should choose.
My Titleist fitter is a low single figure handicapper and is fitted into T350's.

It's entirely up to you, but if you're spending a fair amount of money on new irons, I'd recommend a specialist fitter.

Never had the chrome come off any of my Titleist irons. Have the T200 irons myself and really like them. Won’t be changing for a long time. I hover from 5 to 8 handicap so you should have no problem hitting them. As many have said though, go for a fitting. I tried all of them but the T200 were best for me especially the little extra forgiveness.

T200 didn’t work for me and ended in T150.
What I would say is don’t consider your handicap when choosing irons or any club and ball. Got a good fitting centre and find what works for your swing, a different combination of head and shaft can make a lot of difference.

I wouldn't let the risk of wear or flaing determine your irons - irons will typically last for 10+ years. There was a bit of a fad of having badges glued to the back of irons from all manufacturers, and they'd sometimes fall off - but nothing that impacts performance.

No reason why t200's wouldn't work for you, but as others have suggested, go get fit, or at least hit a few demos - the t150's may surprise you!

10 years Chris, you're joking aren't you - I told the Mrs that they need replacing every 2 years, 4 years at most!
  9. As others have said - ditch the handicap thought and go and get fitted, you may well be surprised what you end up with!!

Good luck and enjoy the process!!
