Another lovely wee surprise through the door from the No1 guys in golf. Can’t wait to test these bad boys out on the course this weekend. If these are better than the last model, we are all in for a treat.

Any of these making the journey across the Irish Sea? Registered to be a tester over the years but never received any.

    Hi All

Was lucky enough to receive a box myself last week.

Got out and put them into play at the weekend.

Assuming that the Red and black numbers relate to what we already know with PRO v1 and PRO v1x the main couple of take aways I could see were, with the red, it's not as "clicky" as the 2023 Prov1x which if you like a soft feeling ball like I do it's a game changer for me.

The black numbered prototype felt really like the PRO V1 I play, but it seemed better in the wind, which playing on a course alongside a tidal estuary was great for me.

Distance numbers, it was hard to tell as the course has gone from dry as a bone, to soft in a week or so. but if i was to guess i think it was holding its own or even beating similar conditions I have played in the past.

Flights were as you would expect from both models and spin was not lacking., greens were responsive, not soaking wet, but a low 3 hybrid from 225 out pitched and stopped in 20ft with the red, and a 4 iron into a headwind cut through the wind hit a downslope hopped and stopped within 12ft of its pitch with the black numbered ball.

More testing to do, but think we're in for a treat with the new balls.

    Happy golfing all

    Ian

Not one of the lucky ones this year to receive a white box!!
Hopefully they keep the Yellow ProV1 when they release the new balls.
    Maybe next year!
  6. If not too late, would like to these with my new GTs - especially the 7 which is out pf this world!
  7. Nothing as yet through the post, only ever had it once even though signed up for a number of years

Well what can I say, I finally had the pleasure of testing these balls out over the last few days.

Both the pro v1 and pro v1x preformed better than the previous model balls.
Hitting them side by side my new old pro v1 yellow balls, seeing the results visually and going back looking over my data on my Arccos app.

The new balls were roughly anywhere between 3/7 yards longer for me on my good shots with every club in the bag.
    Don’t ask me how lol
Both looked similar ball flights old and new balls, I’m a high flightier of the ball normally.

Stopping distance on the greens from 100 yards in, were roughly the same for me, hard to judge because my course greens have took a pounding of rain lately and are super soft the now.
The pro v1x, did spin a lot more when hit perfectly a couple of times.
Bump and run did produce a bit more check with the new balls compared too the previous ones.

Noise wise the new balls don’t sound as clicky,
strange I know but definitely noticeable in the hearing.
Off the putter face, they are slightly quieter than the old ones too in my opinion.

Anyway, I’ll keep trying them out and post more feedback as I play.
    Hopefully I don’t loose any.

    Cheers.

Nice review, El Bandito! Always a frustration trying to figure out what's what at this time of the year with the weather and courses being as soft as they are.

    Liversedge,

Thank you for the little white box which arrived this week, I have only been able to test the balls on the putting green at present due to a medical issue.. Both balls feel very soft , however the V1 X seems to have lost its clicking noise

No significant wear or damage after 1 hour of putting.

Spin on short chipping shots felt very similar on both balls with nearly new vokey wedge, a small amount of marks on both balls and felt very soft
  13. Interesting read guys and will be trialling them when they come out. Was hoping I’d get the white box this year as I’ve changed away from titleist balls for the first time in about 12 years and wanted to see if the new gen would knock out the current bag holder.

    Northampton,

Wow! What an opportunity- enjoy. It will be interesting to hear what you think of them.
  15. Took my black numbered balls out for a game and really enjoyed using them - even in this weather! One tried to lose itself in leaves, but other than that, I actually loved playing with these ones.
They went truly straight every time, but putting was the problem. They always seemed to come up short.
As to driving - gained about 10/15 yards and even in this weather for a now 3 handicapper, I was managing 135+ yards with my 7 iron.

I'm going to La Manga Club at the end of the month and will take the red numbered balls with me to try out there. If the black numbered ones are anything to go by, I'll need to reign in my length and tap a bit harder with my putts.

Thanks for the opportunity, and look forward to sharing the Spanish trial.

  16. At long last, I've had the opportunity of using the red numbered balls, albeit in Spain. They were great, flew well, ran well, and putted well. When they were cold, they sounded a bit like concrete, but that could have been me, as a 23 handicapper.
I was surprised at the distance they went, and would love to buy some of these, over the black numbered ones.
Unfortunately, all three got lost over 18 holes at La Manga West course, the last one disappearing on the 18th into a baranca. One did manage to get me 2 for 5 on a tricky par three, which shows that the distance is better than the balls I currently use.

    I await the Titleist verdict!
