You'd let gravity help you on the swing back into the ball (like a kid swinging down on a swing at the playground) and you'd pop each ball off the green, finishing fairly abruptly compared to your long backswing.
This natural motion is very desirable and something that you can build into your putting game with a little practice. Spend some time rolling the ball with just your trail hand and you'll deliver more consistent energy to the golf ball, resulting in better distance control that will serve you well on the greens.
