Recognized as a “Best Young Teacher” by Golf Digest, John Kostis brings to his instruction an understanding of both the technical aspects of the game as well as the artistry needed to play at the highest levels of competitive golf.
John Kostis is the founder and head instructor of JPK Golf in Scottsdale, Arizona. Since 2018 he has also served as the Director of Instruction for Troon Country Club. As an accomplished collegiate golfer at the University of Arizona, John was a three-time First Team All-Pac 10 Academic Team honoree. The son of renowned instructor and golf analyst Peter Kostis, John grew up immersed in the game of golf and this background shaped a unique perspective that has given him an understanding of both the technical aspects of the game as well as the artistry needed to play at the highest levels of competitive golf.
A Titleist staff member since 2013, John currently teaches over 1,500 lesson hours per year, with students ranging from beginners, collegiate and elite amateurs, celebrities, and professional athletes. His technical expertise includes Foresight PEAK, Trackman Level 2 and Wright Balance certifications. His efforts are guided by a desire to help anyone at any level improve and he has done so through physical lessons, digital engagement, published articles and product development. Recently, John was honored by Golf Digest Magazine, naming him to its 2018-2019 Best Young Teacher List.
