GT Head weights

    Hi @all,

    can anyone of you already answer the question whether the head weights of the drivers, in this case GT3 is the same than that of the TSR3? My current TSR3 with +4g headweight weighs 198.3 g, with standard weight 194.3 g.

    That’s not an easy answer. The heads themselves vary by a few grams due to manufacturing tolerances. Part of the process is to get to the swing weight is by changing the stock weight and adding hot melt if needed. My fitter specifies adding weight solely to account for my 45 inch shaft

    Head weights vary due to manufacturing tolerances, so there really is no "standard". They are sorted to be paired with heavier or lighter shafts and then fine tuned when build to achieve desired swingweights.

    Hi @all,

    thanks for answering, of course I know that there is no "standard"...like the real Loft on the Driver comparing what you have choosen as Loft, but it will be in a range of perhaps 1 g difference, not 4, 6, 7 g that you will come out with a total different swingweight. So if it is in general in the same spot like the TSRs, that is perfect.

    They vary from model to model but they are all in the same ballpark from what I can tell.

    The GT3 head weight (with the standard 8g weight) is 195.2

    They should be fairly close, I used the same shaft and the swing weight came out virtually identically from TSR3 to GT3. As far as the weights in the track, they are new for the GT3 and don’t interchange.

    The GT3 head weighs 195.2 . The standard weight is 8gm.

    I just got my GT3 and it's heavier than what I remember from the fitting. I have the +4 weight. Would you mind taking a picture of the 8g weight from the side and bottom? I'm seeing where they put the weight on the 12g one.

    The fittings also take into consideration of the shaft length. The stock is 46 inches. If the order was for 45 or 45.5 g, there would be a specified +X g added as part of the spec. Unlikely it was a random addition as part of the build.
