It was a hot steamy day in early September in North Louisiana at the course on Barksdale Air Force Base called Bomber Bayou. It was not a good golf day for me as I was struggling to make good contact all day. At the turn we grabbed a bottle of water and walked to the 10th tee. Lasered it at 109 yards so I grabbed my pitching wedge. Again it was not great contact and I was worried about it landing short. I saw it bounce through the shadows of the large tree that shaded the green but then lost it. I thought it made it on the green but wasn't sure where. Got to the green and couldn't see it anywhere. My partner yelled check the hole, and sure enough there it was laying in the cup. My first one ever and if the odds are real it will be approximately 156 years until my next one. I'll be looking forward to that one too.
