Mr. Brian McKenna invited me and my son Jackson (9yo) to play golf with him and his son Lachlan (9yo) at West Lake Country Club in Augusta, GA on June 29, 2024. The heavy rain started on hole #2 and we decided to keep playing through it and I’m sure glad we did. The rain continued to pour while we were on the tee box on #4. I played a little fade with my Titleist ProV1x Left Dash from 160 yards that landed two inches directly behind the hole and ended up right in the cup. I made the switch to this ball two weeks ago and doesn’t look like I’ll be switching anytime soon. The coolest part to me is I was able to make it in front of my 9 year old son - a memory that we will never forget.
Moral of the story is to keep on trying and never give up . I’ve been close to making a hole-in-one many times in my 16 years playing golf, but the feeling is indescribable to have actually made my first hole-in-one!
