I was playing in our Thursday night league at Ridgeview Golf Course when we got to hole #3. This hole usually gets the best of me as I normally shoot over the green or in one of the sand traps on either side of the green. I decided to use my pitching wedge and hit short since the red flag was up in the very front of the green. It landed about 10 yards in front of the hole and took a couple bounces and went in! My eyesight isn't the greatest so I was squinting looking for the ball when my friend Luke yelled out that it went in! I couldn't believe it so I just started running. I looked into the hole and there it was, I still couldn't believe it even after seeing it with my own eyes! The group behind us was just making it to the #2 green which included my dad, and he shook my hand and told me congratulations and said he couldn't believe that after 50 years of playing, he still doesn't have one! What a moment!
