I have started playing golf 53 years ago and after countless times of hitting the flag stick or near misses, I finally made my first hole in one. It was our 3rd hole, a par 3. It was uphill with a back stick I measured at 218 yards. I hit a 3 iron that I flushed on the center of the club face and never left the flag stick, a straight shot that hit in front of the flag stick a couple of feet and rolled in for the ace. I can't begin to express how happy, excited, relieved, satisfied, etc I am. It was a long time coming and the shot was literally struck perfect, felt great, and left me with the feeling that it really could have gone in, and when we got up to the green my Titleist AVX number 4 ball was sitting in the cup!
